Stefano Ciampolini started his professional career with his family's group of companies, which includes private clinics and diagnostic equipment manufacturing in Italy, France and the United States, where he was responsible for international business development. He joined Arthur Andersen in London in 1996, where he was a senior member of the healthcare corporate finance team, advising on mergers, acquisitions, initial public offerings and venture capital transactions. In 1999, Mr Ciampolini founded NephroNet, a chain of independent dialysis centers in Italy, which was sold to Baxter in 2001. Mr Ciampolini is a partner and founder at Healthcare Capital Partners (London), a private equity and a corporate finance advisory boutique specialized in life sciences, healthcare and medtech. As part of his investment activities, Mr Ciampolini is a shareholder and director of several healthcare ventures. Mr. Ciampolini is a Limited Partner and a member of the Investors Committee at DN Capital, a pan-European private equity fund investing in technology.

Mr Ciampolini received an MBA from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in London in 1994 and holds a degree in economics from Kingston University, Surrey.
