James K. ("Jack") Murray, Jr., Chairman
     

 

Mr. Murray currently serves as Chairman of Murray Corporation, a private merchant company. Mr. Murray began his career in 1956 as a life insurance agent and became a life member of the Million Dollar Roundtable.

In 1970, Mr. Murray was a founder of a company that is today HealthPlan Services. In 1978, the company was acquired by The Dun & Bradstreet Corporation (NYSE:DNB). Mr. Murray continued his career with D&B after this acquisition, and, in 1989, he became President of Dun & Bradstreet Credit Services. He also served as President and principal executive officer of the Reuben H. Donnelley Corp., a publisher of telephone yellow pages, from March 1990 until August 1991, and as its Chairman from August 1991 until December 1993. In addition, he held the position of Corporate Senior Vice President of D&B, President of the Americas of Credit Services, and Chairman of Thomson Directories, a U.K. joint venture between Thomson Publishing and D&B.

In 1993, Mr. Murray retired from Dun & Bradstreet and, with other financial partners, re-acquired HealthPlan Services from Dun & Bradstreet in 1994. In May 1995, HealthPlan Services became a public company and was listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Mr. Murray retired from HealthPlan Services in 2000.

Mr. Murray serves on the Boards of Parses, Inc., Canterbury Towers and the University of Tampa, all in Tampa, the Tampa Bay Research Institute in St. Petersburg, FL, and Sykes Enterprises, Incorporated (Nasdaq:SYKE). He also is a board member and Treasurer of The General Theological Seminary in New York City. Mr. Murray has served as a trustee of Berkeley Preparatory School and the Endowment Fund of St. John's Episcopal Church and St. John's Episcopal School.
