Bert Brodsky is a successful New York-based entrepreneur, community leader and philanthropist who has devoted his business to healthcare for more than 35 years. Among other healthcare ventures, Mr. Brodsky built publicly-traded National Medical Health Card Systems, Inc. ("NMHC") into a leading pharmacy benefits manager serving more than 9 million lives, with over $650 million in revenues (reported at June 30, 2004). During Mr. Brodsky's service with NMHC, its market capitalization grew from approximately $52 million at the time of its Nasdaq listing in 1999 to approximately $275 million in March 2004 following a liquidity event sponsored by New Mountain Capital.
In 1978, Mr. Brodsky founded Sandata Technologies, Inc., the country’s premier provider of advanced computer, telephone and Internet-based technologies for processing home care claims. He remains Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sandata today. During his career, Mr. Brodsky has founded and grown numerous other healthcare and real estate ventures which remain in business today, including Brookhaven Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Inc., Mobile Health Management Services, Inc. and NorthEast Equity Management, Inc.
Among the many awards received by Mr. Brodsky is the 2000 Ernst and Young Master Entrepreneur of the Year for the State of New York. In 2005, Mr. Brodsky received the Townsend Harris Medal for Notable Achievement from the alumni association of the City College of New York. Mr. Brodsky is currently Chairman of the Board of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. He received a Bachelor of Arts, Finance and Economics from the City College of New York.
